Internships
theIDLgroup offers a one year internship, split into two 6 month placements. The first placement will be based at our offices in Bristol. The second placement will be based in one of our overseas offices in Ghana or Vietnam.
To qualify for our internship you must be a graduate with a relevant Masters degree from a university of international reputation, and at least 12 months relevant and varied work experience in developing countries. We are particularly interested in applicants with language skills. We want people who are committed to a career in the international development arena, for whom this internship could be a useful stepping stone.
During the internship, we pay a basic salary / living allowance of £1000 per month for the first six months and £1500 per month for the second half of the placement. From this you will need to meet all your living expenses, including costs of travel to work.
Alastair Stewart is an intern Research Consultant with theIDLgroup during 2011/2012. Find out what Alastair has been up to by reading his blog here.
The application window for this years internship scheme has closed. We will be running a 12 month internship programme in 2012. More information will be available on this page, in June.
