Monitoring & evaluation

theIDLgroup has a strong track record in monitoring, evaluation, impact assessment and appraisal. 

Key services we provide include:  

  • designing and developing livelihoods impact monitoring systems
  • participatory monitoring and evaluation
  • appraisal of large-scale projects and programmes.

 

Examples of our monitoring and evaluation experience include:  

  • two evaluations of the livelihoods outcomes and socio-economic impact for beneficiaries of a fisheries research programme in Bangladesh
  • output to Purpose Review of a Girls’ Education Project in Nigeria
  • support to the development of institutional monitoring and evaluation capacity for a Bangladeshi NGO, through the design and implementing of a ‘Livelihoods and Poverty Tracking System’
  • appraisal of the Productive Safety Net Programme (PSNP) in Ethiopia
  • designing and implementing the M&E system for the Ghana Rights and Voice Initiative (RAVI), plus providing advice on the design and implementation of grant-making and funding mechanisms
  • design and development of a livelihood monitoring system (LMS) for the Go–Interfish and SHABGE Projects in Bangladesh and its wider application across the Natural and Fisheries Resources Programme for CARE Bangladesh and DFID’s Fisheries Management Support (FMS) Office.
