Interim secondments

 

We regularly provide highly skilled advisors on interim secondments in our areas of expertise, primarily governance, pro-poor policy and institutional reform, sustainable livelihoods, agricultural sectoral reform and social development.

 

Key interim secondment services we provide include:

• design and development of strategy
• engagement in planning processes
• advice on policy development
• maintaining relationships with international partners and multilaterals
• development of country programmes

Examples of our secondment experience include the following:

• provided seconded advisors to the DFID’s Africa Great Lakes and Horn Department to support programmes of Disarmament, Demobilisation and Rehabilitation in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and support to DFID’s engagement in the Sudan
• seconded one of our consultants to DFID’s Afghanistan Team to ensure effective communications with the public, Parliamentarians and other Government Departments (especially FCO)
• provision of long-term, seconded advisors to DFID’s Rural Livelihoods Department on the role of livestock and wildlife in improving livelihoods and reducing poverty
• seconded long-term advisors to provide advice on rural livelihoods in Ghana and Cambodia.
