Research Consultant

Victoria Wiafe is a Consultant with experience in natural resource management, environment and civil society engagement in Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi and South Africa. Through various assignments, Victoria has developed an extensive understanding of donor-funded development projects (including those of World Bank, USAID, DFID and the European Commission), as well as multi-donor programmes such as the Ghana Natural Resources and Environmental Governance Program (NREG).  In particular, she recently conducted a feasibility and mapping study on future EC support to civil society in Ghana, under which recommendations for the design of a civil society strengthening facility were made. Victoria was project manager of the team responsible for the development of a strategy and action plan for biodiversity conservation and management in the northern savannah region of Ghana.

She is currently part of theIDLgroup team providing independent monitoring and evaluation of the "Making the Forest Sector Transparent" programme, on behalf of Global Witness, in eight countries worldwide.  Her country experience includes Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi and South Africa.
