Anna Halton

Research Consultant

Anna Halton joined theIDLgroup in 2009 as a Research Consultant in the Governance, Institutions and Political Economy portfolio. Her interests and experience are in transparency and accountability, particularly in the context of fragile and post-conflict environments. Anna has worked in West Africa, the Caucasus, the West Balkans, Australia, Papua New Guinea, the Pacific and the UK. She completed her BA degree at Oxford University and also holds an MSc in Development & Security from the University of Bristol.  

Anna has particular interest and experience in processes that engage with and build dialogue between a range of stakeholders. She has excellent facilitation and relationship-building skills.  Currently Anna is supporting the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) initiative in Liberia, Ghana, Papua New Guinea and The Solomon Islands. She is also working on the development of an analytical framework for the OECD to better understand how global drivers of corruption may impact on actors and institutions at the national level.
