Anna Halton joined theIDLgroup in 2009 working in the Governance, Institutions and Political Economy portfolio. Her interests are in transparency, accountability, and natural resource governance, particularly in the context of fragile and post-conflict environments. Anna has worked in West Africa, the Caucasus, the West Balkans, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific. She completed her BA degree at Oxford University and also holds an MSc in Development & Security from the University of Bristol.
Anna has particular experience in processes that engage with and build dialogue between a range of stakeholders. Recent assignments include the development of a framework for the OECD to analyse global drivers of corruption at the national level, and support to donor coordination and aid effectiveness processes in Zambia. From January to August 2011, Anna will be based in Monrovia supporting the Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Voluntary Partnership Agreement negotiations between the EU and the Government of Liberia.
